SPLENDID DETAIL MOURNING BROOCH/CHATELETTE

As mourning brooches go, this one is Tops.  The thick, long rectangular slab of onyx is rounded on both ends and is scooped out through the center.   The motif is a 14K yellow gold single stem from which appears to hang eleven, (real) half pearl buds or flowers.  A single leaf begins  its thrust toward the stem and then folds back on itself and is decorated with tiny half pearls.  The back of the leaf and the three tiny stems are hand finished with a linear florentine texture, and a shiny gold "ribbon" gives the appearance of attaching to the onyx.  The back of the BROOCH is 14K yellow gold with a tube hinge, and a covered "c" clasp.  There is a hook for use as a chatelette to hang something.  Beautiful workmanship, entirely hand made.  Victorian 1880-1990, in excellent +++ condition.

MOURNING BROOCH/CHATELETTE

Beautiful black onyx sunflower BROOCH ~ the petals are individually cut, bezel set in 14K yellow gold with fine, hand applied mil grain on the top edges, and assembled in a  two layer dome.  Little granulation balls have been added between the petal points.  The style hinge, the simple "C" clasp and the motif mark it as Victorian.   A small hook can been seen at the bottom on the back side.  I'm not certain if this is meant as a chatelette to hang something or if it was meant to allow it to be worn as a pendant.   Antique jewelry from an estate,  1 1/4 inches, in excellent ++  condition.   Circa 1880-95.

FOB CHAIN - YELLOW & SILVER TONE

Figaro chain, the long links are yellow and the short links are silver tone.   9 1/2 inches.   The gold plating on the swivel is worn, the toggle appears to be brass and is wired to the chain with copper.  Vintage jewelry.

A BEAUTY ~VICTORIAN LOCKET OR FOB

Unusual, exquisitely finished piece of jewelry to be worn as a locket or fob.  All surfaces are completely covered with hand engraving.  The front features a geometric fretwork design next to the edge and a floral design in the center.  The sides are a repeating foliate or feather design.  The back is a series of tight curlicues or feathers.   The locket opens through the center, camouflaged by the ribbon strip.  The interior reveals part of the original picture or hair holder and is missing the glass or plastic and a retaining ring or back of some sort.   Antique estate jewelry, gold filled,  1 1/16 inches; a beautiful piece of yesteryear jewelry.

LARGE COIN FOB THING

Coins graduated in size, and each is quite beautiful.  Starting at the top:  1909 50 cent Leopold II Roi des Belges (Belgium).   1913 C-20 Italia, the front is a male holding a wheat sheaf, the back is a Deco style nut flying through the air holding a torch.  1914 One shilling depicting George IV.   1919 2 francs, foliate on the back, Nouveau style lady carrying a sack.   1909 Drei Marc depicting Friedrich II IL Grossherzog von Baden, the reverse is a spread eagle.   7 1/4 inches long including the swivel.    Vintage.  Excellent condition.

PIN OR CHARM, 14K

The significance of this pin is unknown.  Three stars with tiny cultured pearls and three triangles on a moon.   Small bail for hanging can be used to attach as a charm, once the pin back is removed.  (Add $20 for removal of the pin back and allow 2 weeks.)   Engrave, "Anna Jane Chamberlain" in letters almost to small to be seen.   Marked 14K, yellow gold, vintage estate jewelry pin/charm, 5/8 inch..

10K PIN with enamel flag

These are surely a vest chain, dating to about 1910.  This is  Vintage Deco jewelry, enamel over sterling.  Marked "sterling top" "Allco".  Size is 11/16" x 1/2".
