FRESHWATER CULTURED PEARL STRAND,  BIG 9-10 MM

Eighteen inch strand of Chinese freshwater pearls, fastened with a 14K yellow gold filigree fish hook clasp.   These are large "statement" pearls, and while not actually round, they give the impression of being round.  The color is well matched with  nice luster and there is only very moderate spotting and minor blemishes.  Knotted between pearls, the cord is good condition and clean.    Sparkles will reimburse your return shipping if you are not highly pleased with these for the price. 14K VICTORIAN BROOCH WITH ENAMELING, DIAMONDS AND PEARLS

Terrific, large  Victorian Brooch, circa about 1880.   Lovely, detailed retro elements extending from the frame.  This brooch is a bit of  a mystery.   It appears that the whole may have grown from a simple locket, the oval in the center, with the beautiful enameled star   overlaid with another star burst set with diamonds and pearls appears to be the original piece.  It has a twist frame closely around it and is recessed within a knife-edge frame, which has another twist frame against  its base, then a nice, smooth, flat frame from which flows the fancy fin-like and scroll parts.  The straight, short, flat pieces (top and bottom) screw into the  bottom and provide permanent sturdiness to the pretty center locket.  Later a circa 1910 latching c clasp was added and also a hook for hanging an additional piece, probably a ladies lapel watch.  From the back, one sees the rough edges of the original locket.  Antique estate jewelry in excellent condition.  Estimated retail value $1500+.

Designed & executed by Daniel Zender, a New Mexico native, the lovely bright blue Lapis is hand set in Sterling (note the  detail, vertical 'cuts' on the frame at the 5PM and 11 AM positions).  The heavy shank has been left unclosed  underneath to allow easy adjustment to size; the end of the shank  slides neatly through a tunnel.  The Lapis is raised rather than flat against the finger, perfect for any finger.  The Lapis is approximately 3/4 inch x 1/2 inch.   Reference is made to this artist on elderstonewerks and his own website, which indicate similar design earrings sell for $295 and rings  for slightly less.  New, contemporary jewelry.  A great buy on quality jewelry.

FABULOUS TORSADE STYLE CLUSTER NECKLACE ~ MIXED MATERIALS

STUNNINGLY DESIGNED & CONSTRUCTED, the necklace contains these nature-made materials:  18 mm smoky quartz beads, creamy-white freshwater  pear  shape pearls, gold-bronze freshwater pearls, crackle pinkish quartz nuggets, crystal clear quartz nuggets, and a few mother of pearl heart shapes  -- all of these (except the four quartz beads) have a tiny silver tip at the bead hole and are individually hand wired to the core flex wire.  On each side of the quartz beads are bronze glass seed beads, stick stacked.  Too many pieces to count, but estimated at an incredible 150 pieces  hand wired.  Contemporary jewelry in like new condition.   A steal for the workmanship involved.  Measures 17.5 inches, due to thickness, it probably will fit at about 16 inches.

1900 DIAMOND & RUBY NECKLACE

Exquisite little pendant necklace, the rigid section of leaves is hand engraved & textured, with a tiny diamond set high in a floret in the center.   The pendant is hinged to dangle freely and is set with a laboratory grown ruby gemstone and another small diamond in floret.  The filigree and narrow "knife edges" of the pendant mark this as Edwardian.  All of the the foregoing is 10K, tested & guaranteed.   The small, attached chain is gold filled.   Total length is just over 18 inches.    Vintage estate jewelry in excellent condition, circa.

DEEPLY CARVED, LIGHT PINK SHELL CAMEO

An old one, circa 1910-20.   The cameo is deeply carved in one piece of pale pink shell so that the bust portion appears near white.  A Roman visage, she has a diadem in her hair, a curl nestling on her neck below the ear, and the face is nicely detailed.  Excellent condition, the hand engraved frame is 10 K yellow gold (marked on the lever clasp).   Antique estate jewelry in excellent condition,  1 3/8 inches.

EXQUISITE EDWARDIAN PENDANT, circa 1915

A really lovely piece of vintage jewelry, the pendant frame is a delicate filigree, enclosing a circlet of tiny, tiny  pearls.  In this time frame the  30 little pearls are likely to be natural pearls as opposed to cultured pearls.  There is a lab grown, synthetic ruby in the center, and one above in the top scroll, and a small pearl in the bail.  The almost 1 1/2 inch yellow gold pendant tests 14K, and it is suspended from an 18 inch gold filled chain.   Exceptionally fine vintage estate jewelry in excellent condition.
