JADE FIGURAL BROOCH

Actually a piece of art from beyond yesteryear, the Oriental figure is delicately carved with very good detail.  The ornate & detailed frame with a tree, building, vase and flowers has been tested and is silver.  The original fastener, which may have predated  pin backs, has been removed & small repair done to the metal, and a pin back and hinged bail has been added.  Almost two inches, thought to be 19th century, probably purchased in China in the late 30s and altered at about the same time.  Antique jewelry in  excellent condition (front). Price:$188.00    Condition: As described       Order Item#R/C/F/U091157 inR/F

LARIMAR & STERLING PENDANT

Mix of exceptional  blue color and white, the cabochon is set in Sterling and suspended from a 18 inch Sterling Italian chain.  Larimar is a variety of pectolite.  Although pectolite is found in many locations, none have the unique volcanic blue coloration of larimar, which is found only in the Dominican Republic in the Caribbean Sea.  Discovered by Father Miguel Domingo Fuertes Loren he took his daughter's name Larissa and the Spanish word for sea (mar).  Excellent condition jewelry still boxed from Marks and Morgan Jewelers.

14K RUBIES AND AMETHYST BROOCH

Adorable, elegant BROOCH with great color.   First, let me tell you that the rubies are actually a cranberry color with just enough blue in them to perfectly compliment the amethyst.  The reason they look bright pink is that they are synthetic, lab grown rubies and the scanner "knows".   Note the Deco touch of the four, squared prongs on the amethyst, set at top and sides instead of the traditional rounded parts of the shoulders.   The BROOCH is 14K yellow gold, 2 1/2 inches.   Screwback  EARRINGS are available, but not included in the price.  Add $75 for the earrings.  Vintage estate jewelry, circa 1930, latching C clasp.

IVORY CHARM OR PENDANT

Wonderfully carved Asian man bead, suitable for charm or pendant.  There is much detail, a Fu Manchu mustache, one hand holds a staff or tool, while the other is hooked in his obi.  There is a high, separated collar affair in the back an nice detail of the folds of his robe.   Large, about 1 5/8 inch including the beads at top and bottom.   Vintage elephant ivory estate jewelry in excellent condition, you won't find another like this one.
