DANCING TRAPEZE DIAMOND EARRINGS

These fly and sparkle with the slightest head movement.   Most diamond earrings are studs or are set in gold mountings and the diamonds are seen only from the top table & facets.  These are unusual in that they seen from all sides, any angle and none of the beauty is blocked by metal mounting.  If you are familiar with gemstones cut in a briolette (teardrop) shape, the bottom drop of these earrings, a trapiche,  is similar in that it is cut in the same way as a briolette, but the shape is ovoid (almost a semi-flatenned football).  The trapiche drop and the bead above are both faceted diamond, with 14K  white gold separator beads, links and lever back earrings.  The diamonds are very, very lightly yellow ... just enough color to gather light and add interest but not enough to look yellow.  Total diamond weight is 2.19 carats.  Classic style, elegant, wear-with-anything-all-the-time earrings, 1 3/8 inch long. While these are difficult to show properly in this medium, they are fantastic. Retail appraisal $2600 to $3000.

MARGOT DE TAXCO BRACELET

Six beautiful birds, closely linked and with great detail, made by a top echelon, early Mexican artisan. Each link is curved so that the bracelet is comfortable on the wrist. Closeup of the hidden clasp. Difficult to measure the inside circumference but it is about 7 1/2", fits an average wrist with room to spare. Width is about 3/4". Good depth in the links as you can see from the photo. Signed "Sterling Made in Mexico""Margot de Taxco 5326", with an Eagle mark. Vintage jewelry.
