STERLING GRAPE WREATH - CULTURED AKOYA PEARLS

An old one, probably pre-1930, the circlet on which the grape motif is resting is hand engraved and vine tendrils wind around it.  The leaf is large and very detailed and there are nine high quality, well matched in color, Akoya cultured pearls.  Vintage estate jewelry in excellent condition,  1 1/2 inches, lever latching clasp.  Estimated replacement value $350.

BACHELOR'S BUTTON ENAMEL BROOCH

Also known as the Blue Cornflower, this BROOCH is 2 3/4 inches long.  Two colors of blue centered by a cluster of rhinestones create the bloom, which is riveted to the body of the plant.  Pavé  rhinestones cover the ribbon, the underside of one leaf and the cut of the stem.  Circa 1940-50, the brooch is rhodium plated.  Amazingly there is no signature.   Vintage costume jewelry, there are small chips and flakes off the very edges of some petals and the bud and rather than detracting from the visual, they seem to add character to it.

VINTAGE, FLATTERING IVORY NECKLACE

The five flowing links in the front of the NECKLACE are carefully cut and fitted to flatter.  Altogether they measure 4 1/2 inches.   The beads are graduated from 5mm to 4.5 mm.  Total length is 18 inches, width at the front is 7/8 inch.   Vintage ivory from the 1970s, estate jewelry in like new condition.  The telltale Schraeger (growth) lines are clearly evident in areas of the ivory. ETHNIC ~ FINE FILIGREE WIRE WORK AND VERY FINE CLOISSONNE ENAMELING

Terrific Ethnic BRACELET.  Each curved link is very finely hand wound silver filigree in an ornate pattern.  The figures are extremely well done.  Each little cell to contain a color was made of silver wire, and filled with the glass powders before firing.  A gold wash was applied after the 1 1/2 inch wide bracelet was finished.  Fits an average to 7 3/4 inch wrist.  Vintage estate jewelry tests silver,  thought to be circa 1930s, the figures look Spanish or Greek?

RETRO FLORAL BROOCH ~ STERLING

Sterling  3 1/4 inch BROOCH, circa 1940s, set with emerald cut, unfoiled rose color faceted glass stones.  You will note the pinkish color close to the center stone, and along the grooves of the ribbon and on the back.  I believe this is a wash that was applied to the BROOCH and allowed to settle in the low spots.  It is not the color of "rose gold", more plumy-pink.   Vintage costume jewelry in excellent condition, marked Sterling.

LIQUID SILVER NECKLACE

Twenty strands of tiny sterling rod shape beads.  The little beads measure approximately 3 mm x 0.5 mm and they truly do look like a stream of silver.  There is an incredible (approx.) 6,000 beads in the NECKLACE, these are made by southwestern Indians.   Contemporary estate jewelry in like new condition.

CASED, DIAGONALLY CUT GLASS BEAD NECKLACE

Nine strands of 3 mm beads.  The beads are cased, green on the inside, transparent on the outside; and they are cut on the diagonal so that the strand looks a bit rumply and the transparent edges  add sparkle.   Held by gold tone caps and fastened with a clasp topped  with bead knot.  Vintage costume jewelry, marked Japan, in excellent condition, about 19 inches long.

SPLENDID FIGURAL BROOCH

Unusual sterling (tested & guaranteed) BROOCH is perhaps a Royal Scottish service of the 1940s, or perhaps another part of the Empire.  The head covering may be a turban, style is undeterminate.  His jacket is red paint enamel set with color baguette rhinestones.  The shield is set with rhinestones.  He wears a skirt, perhaps it is a kilt, with a hinged fringe of faux, simulated pearl drops at the waist.  His knee guards, face, and hilt of the spear are also faux, simulated pearls. Use of a closing C clasp, and the baguettes indicate that age to be late 30s or 1940s.  Vintage costume jewelry, in excellent condition,  2 5/8 inches.

FROM THE VINEYARD ~ GRAPE CLUSTER *** SET ***

Molded glass grape clusters are purple to transparent near the edges and silvered on the back side.  Green, faceted marquise rhinestones make the clusters of leaves, all set in black enameled metal.  The BROOCH is about 2 inches wide, the clip EARRINGS are 1 1/8 inches and marked Austria.   Vintage costume jewelry in very good condition.

ONYX AND PEARL, STERLING RING

This ring has a two level step bezel frame , and the assymetrical  pearl is embedded in a bezel atop an oval, black flat onyx plaque.  The shoulders of the shank  of the ring are split with a single bead next to the frame.   Vintage estate jewelry, the size 6 ring measures 23.5 mm x 7.5 mm.  Marked sterling.
