Most ivories on these pages will be elephant or mammoth. All of the elephant ivory is vintage and acquired through estates and individuals and was legally imported in years past. Mammoth ivory may be vintage or contemporary and comes from the Wooly Mammoth that roamed the northern hemisphere between 2 million and 10,000 years ago. Other ivories will be identified when their source is known. |

SOLD! 0611 PAIR OF SPIRAL CARVED IVORY BANGLES ~ 14K Vintage ivory, 5.5 mm wide, spiral carved and
both wound with 14K metal ribbon. One has a tab
on the inner surface indicating "585" (14K). The other has lost its
tab. Vintage estate jewelry in excellent condition. 4 1/2
inches across, these fit an average wrist. Sparklz likes these
as a pair, but they are available separately, please inquire

SLEEK DANGLE VINTAGE IVORY EARRINGS An elongated "S" in shape, the circumference is triangular. Two
slash marks across the face indicate these were likely carved in
Alaska. Clear Schraeger ivory growth lines are seen on all
surfaces. Gold Filled posts and nuts on these 1 3/4 inch
EARRINGS. Vintage estate jewelry in like new
condition. |

VINTAGE IVORY CLIP EARRINGS Large rectangles with rounded edges feature silver chevron shapes
applied down the center. These measure 1 1/4 inches x 15/16
inch x 1/4 inch thick. Very good condition vintage costume jewelry,
circa 1970s, mellow white they have acquired a little creamy patina
on the edges that were next to the face.

GORGEOUS JUMBO IVORY BEAD NECKLACE Unusual vintage ivory necklace has beads graduated from 3/4 inch (19mm)
to 5/8 inch (15mm) in the 24 1/2 inch NECKLACE. These beads
are old, straight out of Africa rather than the Orient. They
were cut individually "in the bush", probably on some sort of hand
cranked lathe and are almost but not quite perfectly round. The
polish varies a little from bead to bead. Originally strung on
inexpensive cord, they have just been restrung and individually
knotted on large cord appropriate for the bead size and a vermeil clasp
has been added. Vintage estate jewelry in excellent
condition. Estimated retail excess of
$2,500. |

SOLD! 0811 MAMMOTH IVORY NECKLACE Natural ivory from "million year" old Mammoth tusk, the warm
ivory to brown color, matte finish beads are graduated
from 12 mm to 5.5 mm. There is an ivory barrel style clasp.
Vintage estate jewelry, about 25 inches in length.

DOUBLE CAMEO W/ DOVE Mammoth ivory cameo depicts two women; the one behind has her head bent
forward toward the dove on her shoulder. Contemporary

"day-glo" intense blue on the petals, shading to purple on the

Carved in the style of a sentimental Victorian hand and flowers, this BROOCH is a new carving of prehistoric mammoth ivory (guaranteed). IVORY NAPKIN RINGS with SCRIMSHAW DRAGONS ~ VINTAGE Set of eight, vintage elephant ivory Napkin Rings. Each is
scrimshawed in blue, green, red and black with a fire breathing
dragon and four lines of script. These are old,
each ring clearly shows the Schraeger lines of real ivory and
demonstrates the creamy mellowness of age. 3/4 inch wide, the
rings are slightly different sizes, a result of having been cut from a
tusk where the dimensions vary. Vintage estate
jewelry in like new excellent condition. These
