HIGH POLISH, LARGE IVORY BEAD NECKLACE

Twenty inches of large, vintage elephant ivory beads, graduated from 10.5 mm to 14.5 mm, with a high polish. Schraeger lines and cross hatching are seen on most of the beads.  They will acquire a mellowness of color as they are worn, becoming prettier by the year.  While their appearance is round, on examination they are seen to be not perfectly spherical, indicating that they were cut and polished by hand. These are freshly restrung, with knots between the beads and a fresh clasp.

EXQUISITE OLD IVORY EARRINGS ~ VNTAGE

Beautifully and intricately  hand carved, circa 1930-40, rose screw-back, vintage ivory EARRINGS.  The metal is well tarnished and though not marked is probably sterling.  Probably never worn, these are in like new condition.  Length, including the carved surmount, is 1 3/4 inches.  Enlargement is shown both with the original screw back and also with a conversion to sterling french hook.  They will be delivered as screw back, unless requested otherwise in the Comments section of the Cart check out.

Hand carved and detailed Bee on a stalk of bamboo with nicely detailed leaves, view from all angles in the enlargement.   1 3/4 inches, including the sterling bail, suspended from a 17 1/2 inch flexible 1 mm sterling  neck wire.  Contemporary, new, artisan 10,000+ year old mammoth ivory, each piece is individually hand carved.  Light sepia stain brings out the detail.  A sterling chain in place of neckwire is available on request.
