HASKELESQUE IN STYLE ~ MYSTERY NECKLACE
Sensuously beautiful the mystery is what it was originally.
The links have hand wired rhinestones
encompassing golden leaves. In the style of Haskell, a
double layer of the entire stamped link backs the top, covering the work
and giving depth to the design and the leaves. The current
design of the work is very fetching but I feel certain that at one time it
was a much more complicated necklace, perhaps with chain festoons or
something else. When seen from the back there are jump rings
where something was attached above the links. About 32 inches long (a
very odd length for such a necklace), the chain is not original
and can (and should be) shortened to about 16-20
inches. Vintage costume jewelry in excellent condition. Price:$ pending

GORGEOUS HASKELESQUE STYLE EARRINGS by VENDOME Totally marvelous, the outer layer of petals is
made up of unusual lavender & blue (alexandrite) beads, in a flat
petal shape with rounded bottom which if faceted. Each of the
beads is hand wired and you can see the head pin that secures them in the
picture of the back. Five more of the petals are in the next row,
separated by closely hand wired tapestry style, tiny faux,
simulated pearls and the center is a large alexandrite
rhinestone. Very much in the style of Haskell, these are
clips adjustable with a screw, silver tone, 1 1/4
inch. Probably circa 1950s, vintage costume jewelry in
like new excellent condition.. Price:$118.00 Condition:

HASKELL ~ LAUREL LEAF TIARA BRACELET
This bracelet is an unsigned Haskell wrap
BRACELET. Probably circa 1930s. The steel beads,
which were popular in purses of that era, are hand stitchred to a base of
three covered "cords". The cords look like cable that might
have come into use for electrification or perhaps part of the
transatlantic cable makeup. The inner core of the
cable is unknown since the ends are capped. The outer is a
tight weave of metal threads. The center of the bracelet is
stamped of base metal and has an antiqued gold tone finish on the
front and silvery finish on the back. Loops of beads are
fastened to the center, and a double row of beads flanks the center on
each side. One side has an additional short section of beads,
the other side does not. A minor amount of verdigris can be
seen on the stamped metal. Fits an average wrist,
1 1/4 inch at the widest. The beads on the bracelet base
appear to be wired into place. The loops of beads are on black
thread. A collector's piece, confirmed as Haskell by the
author of the book Miriam Haskell Jewelry

SOLD! MIRIAM HASKELL PROTOTYPE HOOP EARRINGS
Perhaps one of a kind, these may have been prototypes that were never brought to market. Eight loops
of fabulous beads including large faux, simulated pearl, crystal bi-cone
beads, tiny faux pearls, silvery faceted metal seed beads,
and rhinestone set rondels, all hand wired to a flat filigree
base that has been completely covered, tapestry style, with wired rhinestones and tiny
pearls. This view is how they look from
the front. Be sure to click on the picture to see the side view.
The seemingly unfinished raw sides & lack of signature give credence to the
thought that these are prototypes, as they tend to look a little
unfinished. About 2 inches. Rich and full, and so
60s. These look like they would be uncomfortable to wear, but
actually they fit quite nicely and are very comfortable.
These are unmarked Miriam Haskell, a gift to the fashion
director at Marshall Field upon completion of a successful campaign, from
the Miriam Haskell company. Reference Miriam Haskell Jewelry by Cathy
Gordon & Sheila Pamfiloff, no picture.
