MARY & HER LAMB, STERLING CAMEO BROOCH

Large BROOCH,  2 1/4 inches, and very old.   The front depicts a bonneted Mary holding a lamb with Nouveau style flowers and outer edge.   The back is closed over a hollow center and is marked SterlinE.  The original clasp has been replaced and the current C clasp shows a bit of lead solder where attached.   Antique jewelry in very good condition.

VICTORIAN LION HEAD BRACELET (MEDIUM to LARGE WRIST)

Hinged, bangle bracelet with applied, pierced design over a split top shank.  The center is a lion head with red eyes and a (darkened to gray) rhinestone in the throat inside the open mouth.   Circa 1880-1900.  The inside measures 2 1/2 inches across, the  bottom shank is oval tubular and 1/2 inch wide, the top, center is 1 1/16 inches wide.   It will best fit a 6 5/8 to 7 inch wrist.   Vintage gold filled jewelry.   This is similar to, but more ornate than, the one pictured on p. 115 of Christie Romero's book Warman's Jewelry, 3rd Edition,  dated 1900 and priced at $588.

FLOWERS IN HER HAIR, BEAUTY EVERYWHERE

Finely carved shell cameo in a handwork filigree white metal frame.   The quality of carving is very good and there is good detail and use of color in the hair and dress.  Very pretty well proportioned face.  I believe the white metal is gold filled; the clasp has been changed and is a circa 1910 lever type, leading me to believe that this brooch was made prior to that date.  Antique fine estate jewelry, excellent condition, 1 3/4 x 1 3/8 inches.

EXCEPTIONALLY ORNATE GARNET NECKLACE

The star shape center has unusually large garnets in the raised center, and ornate side scroll pieces.   This is the best one I've ever seen, with garnet links all the way around and no use of plain chain. The floret have small dangles and there is a trefoil on each side where it joins the chain.  This is particularly good detail,  and it in excellent condition.   16 inches long, vintage estate jewelry.  The center star measures 1 1/4 inches.  There are almost two hundred garnet in this lovely piece.

ENAMEL & SAPPHIRE BLUE NECKLACE

Large sapphire blue, emerald cut glass stones rest at an angle atop distinctly Deco shape brass links to which has been added some white and blue enamel leaflets and a small blue rhinestone.  Nicely done, with matching enamel leaves on the two ends and in the middle of the chain.  Vintage costume jewelry circa 1920-30, length is 15 1/4 inches x 7/8 inches.  There is a repair to the chain, see the enlarged view, and it was well done and almost invisible from the front.

LARGE ENAMELED & HAND PAINTED LOCKET

Layers of clear glass enamel  and hand-painted flowers over a white pattern.  Locket is complete with clear plastic inserts and retaining rings inside.  1 3/4 inches, the back side has florentine finish, on a 24 inch gold tone chain.  Very good condition, there is a bit of roughness in a small section of one edge (not seen so much as felt with the fingers), vintage costume jewelry, circa 1950-60.
