14K PEARL STICKPIN

14 K yellow gold stickpin, 3 inches long, with a single 5.5 mm pearl.    It was popular, in America, to use the natural Mississippi pearls (no longer available) during that era on stickpins and pendants.   It's possible that this one of those pearls, though they tended to be baroque in shape and this one is smooth, so it is just as likely that it is a Japanese Akoya cultured pearl.    Vintage estate jewelry in excellent condition.   Marked 14K.   Estimated retail replacement value $140.

TURBANED MAN

Perhaps a blackamoor, this gent is finely featured with beard, mustache and a ring in his ear.  Stone in the turban appear to be rhinestones.  The finish on this is "antique matte gold tone", typical of some Nouveau pieces, high points are polished.  Vintage costume jewelry stickpin, probably circa 1900, base metal.
